Speak and Be
Heard!
The heart of Toastmasters is communication. In
Toastmasters you will learn to speak in front of an
audience in a wide variety of roles. With its
proven, self-paced program, you will build your skills
and confidence for effective self-expression in any
situation.
Meetings are organized and structured, yet relaxed.
New members are provided with a thorough,
step-by-step training manual which is a wealth of information.
The basic manual consists of ten formal speech projects
intended to gradually develop the skills of the speaker.
Club members also have the caring, supportive
environment of the club for encouragement and
help.
The Toastmasters 75 Club is for fluent English speakers
of all nationalities. Please note that it is not
an English course and it is not the purpose of the club
to actually teach English. The purpose of the club is
to help its members speak well in public, in English.
New members already speak excellent English.
There is also ample opportunity for pursuing leadership
and teamwork within the club. Your initiative and participation
will be both personally and professionally rewarding.
If you want to develop or even master your communication
skills, if you enjoy pro-active involvement and if your
English is fluent, you will find the Toastmasters 75
Club stimulating, enlightening and motivating.
Visit a Toastmasters 75 Club meeting - guests
are welcome! We meet twice a month on Thursday evenings in central
Paris. Click here for more details on what
happens at a meeting, and when, where
and how. No reservations necessary.
New member membership is 150 euros.
This includes the annual dues of 125 euros plus the one-time fee of 25
euros which includes a new member kit with the training manual, and
registration with Toastmasters International. With about 19 meetings
per year, this averages to less than 8 euros per meeting. It’s a
rare bargain for a very high-quality and unique program of personal
development.
The Toastmasters 75 Club is a non-profit organization,
a chartered club of Toastmasters International, founded
by Ralph C. Smedley in 1924 in California, USA. Since
that first meeting, over 3 million people have benefited
from Toastmasters. There are currently more than 200,000
members in over 10,000 clubs throughout 80 countries.
